However, it appears on a Kent County Council aerial view dated by Google Earth as 1/1/1940 (dubious) with some sort of very narrow jetty or boom extending out from it and a well-used track up to it. The latest Shornmead Light is in view, with some way beyond, the base of its predecessor. It beams white and red sectors upriver.
